D., is an Associate Professor of Genetics and Cell Biology at Yale School of Medicine. Research in his lab focuses on the development and application of state-of-the-art image-based omics approaches to understand the spatial organization of mammalian genome and transcriptome, and how they impact cellular states. Originally from China, Dr. Wang received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Peking University in 2007. He then moved to the US and received a Ph. D. in Molecular Biology from Princeton in 2011 and later his postdoctoral training at Harvard. In 2017 he was appointed Assistant Professor by Yale University, and was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in 2023. |
- | Jesse Handler is a physician-scientist focused on understanding and intercepting the progression of pancreatic and colorectal cancers. He is currently a fellow in the Kalhor Lab at Johns Hopkins University, where he integrates genomics, genome engineering, and computational approaches to study cancer evolution and metastasis. This fall, he will launch his own laboratory as a physician-scientist in GI oncology at Emory University. His research aims to uncover molecular mechanisms of metastasis and drug resistance and to translate these insights into therapeutic strategies. | + | <font 14px/inherit;;inherit;;inherit>**8:30-9:00 am Pacific Time (20 minute presentation, 10 minute QA)**</font> |

- | **Title: //“The establishment of nuclear organization in mouse embryos is orchestrated by multiple epigenetic pathways”// ** | + | Julian is a biologist oriented to study the mechanisms that regulate cell fate and to develop lineage conversion strategies to generate clinically relevant cell types in vitro. He works as a Senior Scientist in the laboratory of Danwei Huangfu at the Memorial Sloan Kettering and is currently in the job market to start his own laboratory. His current research aims to elucidate the epigenetic factors that support cellular plasticity in pluripotent stem cells. |

- | Mrinmoy completed his BS-MS dual degree at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata. He then moved to Germany to pursue his PhD in the laboratory of Maria-Elena Torres-Padilla at Helmholtz Munich, as a Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher. His research is focused on how nuclear organization and chromatin dynamics influence developmental processes in early mouse embryos. | + | |
