4DN members can join email groups by adding 4DN roles in your profile of 4DN Directory account except some restricted groups. [[https://people.4dnucleome.org|https://people.4dnucleome.org]].

If you want to send an email to a mail group which you are not in, your email might be moderated by the system for security reasons. It might be delayed for a while.

**Purpose:** Network Announcements/Communication

All 4DN members that were informed by NIH, PIs, and from the Kick-off meeting have been added to this group. PIs can add new team members to this mail group by adding a new member to the 4DN Directory system. All the members have a valid 4DN Directory account are in the email group.
