**1.\__Discussion of Publication Policy**

a.\__   The working group agrees that a mandated preprint policy will create a culture of transparency and increase the pace of publications for the consortium.

b.\__The group finds it’s time for a vote to pass the policy.

\__      **Action items:**

·\__Nils and Leonid will review and revise the policy from the current comments.

·\__The Working Group will present but not discuss the policy with the with the full consortium at annual meeting.

·\__Each of the 29 funded groups will be polled.

·\__The Steering Committee will review poll results and vote on the policy.

·\__Lisa will create an introduction for the presentation of the publication policy at the annual meeting

·\__Working group will discuss the NIH preprint RFI during the next call

**2.\__Discussion of the Data Release Policy**

a.\__Data release policy put together by Leonid, Nils, Lisa, and others.

b.\__Leonid raises point that not having an embargo may be a disincentive for early sharing.

\__i.     Job notes that an embargo would be solely illusive.

\__ii.     The WG decides to ask for opinions at the annual meeting.

c.\__Timothee points out that the policy lacks information on etiquette for contacting data producers and giving credit when using published data sets
