1. Who is behind the email oh@4dnucleome.org?

Inquiries/questions to OH should be directed to this email account (e.g. request addition of new member, how to use WebEx, etc.). This email account is managed by Kate Rivera. You will receive an email response from oh@4dnucleome.org.

2. How can I access the Wiki Pages?

The 4DN wiki can be accessed through the Web Portal https://www.4dnucleome.org/ through the “Internal Wiki” button. It can also be directly accessed using wiki.4dnucleome.org.

3. What is the 4dn-network@4dnucleome.org and 4dn-pis@4dnucleome.org, who has access to it?

These two are the Google Groups to facilitate network-wide announcements/communications.

4dn-network@4dnucleome.org is intended for the entire 4DN network;
4dn-pis@4dnucleome.org is intended for all PIs directly funded by 4DN project.

Access to 4dn-network@4dnucleome.org is granted to all members of the 4DN project (Information from NIH, PIs, and from the Kick-off meeting). If you were part of 4DN but not within the group, please send an email to oh@4dnucleome.org.

Access to 4dn-pis@4dnucleome.org is granted to all PIs directly funded by the 4DN project.

Note: PIs may also request their co-investigators to be added to the list by contacting oh@4dnucleome.org.

To manage your Google Group settings, please visit http://groups.4dnucleome.org/ and select “My Groups” to continue.

4. Where questions to OH should be directed to?

Send an email to oh@4dnucleome.org. You will receive an email response from <oh@4dnucleome.org>.

5. Where Annual Meeting questions to OH should be directed to?

Send an email to annualmeeting@4dnucleome.org. You will receive an email response from <annualmeeting@4dnucleome.org>.

6. How do I post a job position?

You can post a job position by sending an email to 4dn-network@4dnucleome.org. You may also post your positions in the Job Opportunities|Job Opportunities wiki page]].

7. Where can I find the calendar for my Working Group? (UPDATE)

Each individual Working Group calendar can be accessed (view only) at its own wiki page https://sites.google.com/a/4dnucleome.org/4d-nucleome-wiki/working-groups-list. The Combined view of calendars (WGs, SC, and NOFIC SC) can be viewed on the wiki under Calendars https://sites.google.com/a/4dnucleome.org/4d-nucleome-wiki/calendar.

10. How can my name be added to a Working Group?

To have your name added to a Working Group, please log in to the 4D Nucleome Directory at https://people.4dnucleome.org/directory You can edit your profile and select the WG you would like to be added to.

11. What information is necessary to have access to web portal restricted areas?

If you are a member of the 4DN's Steering Committee or a Principal Investigator you will be granted access directly by the Organizational Hub, all other members of the 4DN Program should contact their Principal Investigator.

12. Where can I find instructions on how to use WebEx? (UPDATE)

13. How can I access a Google calendar that has been shared with me (granted access to edit it)?

You will receive an email invitation to have access to the calendar shared with from oh@4dnucleome.org. Accept the invitation and you will be able to see and edit the calendar. The invitation will direct you to sign in with your Google account. If you do not have a Google account or gmail set up, you can set up an account with your email account (See next question).

15. Where can I find information about the 4DN Scientific Webinar Series?

16. Where can I find the 4DN DCIC homepage?

There is a link/button named Data Center to the 4DN DCIC homepage under the Data section http://www.4dnucleome.org/ home page.

17. Where can I find 4D Nucleome related papers?

Publications funded by the 4DN program can be found on the 4D Nucleome web portal under Publications tab.

18. I am a PI, how can I update my group member’s information?

You can make corrections and updates to your group as follow:

19. I cannot view some of the documents shared on wiki and the browser says “No preview available” (see figure below). What should I do?

This is most likely caused by having multiple Google accounts open in the same browser (probably across multiple tabs). Some of the documents on 4DN Wiki have a sharing setting that it will open only if the “active” Google account is the one you are authorized to access 4DN Wiki. To see your “active” Google account, move your mouse within the page until the top bar appears (see figure below):

Hover your mouse to your avatar to see which account is currently “active”.

To see the document, you may need to

Log off your other Google account(s) in other Google pages until the one you use for 4DN Wiki becomes active, then refresh the document page, or
Log off all your Google accounts, refresh the document page, the avatar will be replaced by a “Sign in” button which you may click to use your 4DN account to sign in.
