4DN Scientific Webinar SeriesMarch 24th, 2017 8:00-8:20 am Pacific Time, then 10-minute discussion and Q&A Naoki Kubo Postdoctoral Fellow University of California, San Diego Title: Analysis of Chromatin Organization after Acute Loss of CTCF in Mouse Embryonic Stem Cells Naoki Kubo earned his M.D. from Kyushu University School of Medicine (Japan). He earned his Ph.D. from Medical Science at Kyushu University (Japan), focusing on DNA methylation in germ cells. Currently he is working in Prof. Bing Ren's lab (UCSD), studying the role of CTCF and chromosome organization. 8:30-8:50 am Pacific Time, then 10-minute discussion and Q&A Anders Sejr Hansen Postdoctoral Fellow University of California, Berkeley anders.sejr.hansen@berkeley.edu
Title: CTCF and cohesin regulate chromatin loop stability with distinct dynamics
Anders Sejr Hansen is currently a post-doctoral fellow in the labs of Xavier Darzacq and Robert Tjian at UC Berkeley, where he is taking a single-molecule approach to studying some of the key factors involved in genome organization. Before that, he got his undergraduate and master’s degree from Oxford University in 2010 where he focused on organic synthesis. He received his PhD from Harvard University in 2015, where he worked on temporal coding in gene regulation in Erin O’Shea lab.
