Title: “Studying the structural organization of subnuclear chromatin compartments through genome structure modeling”

Asli Yildirim is a postdoctoral researcher in Dr. Frank Alber’s lab at the University of California, Los Angeles. She received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Michigan State University and B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemistry from Bogazici University, Turkey. Her research focuses on developing computational methods to build 3D genome structures and understanding the relationship between genome structure and function.

Title: “The composition and regulation of nucleolus-associated domains”

Anastassiia Vertii earned her Ph.D. from Hannover Medical School (Germany), focusing on MAPK-related signal transduction and regulation of oligomerization of small heat shock proteins. During postdoctoral training she studiedstress-response in centrosomebiology. Currently she is working in Prof. Paul Kaufman's lab (UMASS Medical School), studying the composition and regulation of nucleolus-associated chromatin.
