Please make sure to update to the latest Zoom version (5.8 or higher) to fully enjoy this meeting and participate in the breakout and poster sessions (see here how to update). There will be a Breakout Session with 3 breakout Zoom rooms where attendees will be randomly assigned to ensure each room is equally distributed. You will see a notification as to which room you are assigned to. There will also be 2 Parallel Sessions. Attendees may select which Zoom breakout room they would like to participate in.
We are also including a POSTER SESSION on Day 3, December 10 (10-11am PST).During this session, each poster presenter will be assigned a Zoom Breakout Room. Each presenter will have their own breakout room, identifiable with their poster number and first and last name. Meeting attendees will have the opportunity to move around the different breakout rooms to discuss the posters with all presenters and ask questions. The poster assignments with abstracts will be sent out later.

Also, we would like to invite you to join the following:
NIH Moderators and Notetakers, we have added a Google doc (link in the agenda) for you to be able to enter your notes during the Breakout sessions.
Presenters, please see below the following essential information for you to prepare your presentations.
1. Presentation time for abstract selected talks. Each presenter will be allocated 7 minutes of presentation time, including Q&A. Presentation will be strictly controlled so please be mindful of your time.
2. Poster session. We have included a virtual poster session in this year's meeting. Virtual poster session has no page size requirement, but we do have some suggested values. Whatever software you use, you should set the page size to a portrait orientation, with a size of approximately 36 inches wide x 48 inches tall, or 1 meter wide x 1.3 meters tall. If your academic domain has a typical size format you could defer to that as well. To keep your text easy to read, try to maintain approximately 11 words per line on average. To control this, make columns narrower and use a larger text size. Make sure there is sufficient contrast between the text and background colors, and avoid the use of low-resolution screenshots and photos when higher-quality images or PDFs are available. Use 32 pt font for all body text, and 48 pt for the section titles. These sizes should give you two columns on the suggested 36“ wide poster.
Finally, we have attached the agenda . Please let us know if you have any questions. We will send more information soon. For additional updates please see the kick-off meeting webpage on the 4DN internal wiki or the 4DN web portal.
SUBMISSION ENDED 11.4.21
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: The abstract has to be in PDF format and no more than 2000 characters in length (excluding title, authors and affiliations). It may contain a single figure at the end if it is strictly necessary for understanding. Please follow this abstract template for structure and font size/family when you upload your abstract.
There will be two types of abstracts:
1. Oral presentation - is a scientific talk with results and data. If selected for presentation, the author will be given 5 or 10 minutes (including Q&A) for the talk.
2. Blue-sky pitch - is for describing a futuristic or collaborative research idea. If selected for presentation, the author will be given 5 minutes to present a futuristic (blue sky) idea. The Blue sky pitches do not require research results or data.
