1) To further our knowledge in how genome organization functionally impacts the establishment and/or maintenance of cellular identity and/or state and to help our trainees develop their professional networks; 2) To share our experiences with cell synchronization, genomic and imaging based methods to study the cell cycle; 3) To identify important unanswered questions regarding the dynamics of genome organization during the cell cycle (and withdrawal from) and; 4) To identify points of collaboration across the consortium that will be uniquely suited to addressing some of these questions.
