December 7, 2018
8:00am - 8:00pm

The 2018 ASCB Satellite Meeting is open to both 4DN consortium members and non-members (public). See ASCB Satellite Meeting Information page.
This conference, jointly organized by the 4D Nucleome (4DN) network and the American Society of Cell Biology, will feature recent technological and conceptual advances in research of the higher order chromatin organization in eukaryotic cells. The 4DN network was launched in 2015 as an NIH Common Fund project, and its goal is to develop and apply approaches to map chromatin structure and dynamics to gain a deeper mechanistic understanding of how the nucleus is functionally organized. The ASCB is an international community of over 9000 scientists studying the biology of cell. The 2018 4DN/ASCB mini-symposium aims to highlight rapid progress in the study of genome organization and facilitate the dissemination of new technologies and concepts to the broader cell biology community.
Deadline for registration & abstract submission has been extended to NOVEMBER 1!
Registration fees for the two meetings are separate. The registration fees are:
4DN Annual Meeting: $80
4DN-ASCB Satellite Meeting: $70

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES (Closed)
\\ Each funded group (including TCPA awardees) will be required to give an oral presentation describing progress made towards the goals of their 4DN grant and major scientific highlights. The Contact PI for each funded group should submit an abstract summarizing the content of this presentation. While the presentation should mention the overall progress made with the grant to date, investigators are also encouraged to focus the talk more specifically on the most exciting discoveries that have emerged from their 4DN-funded work. The amount of time allocated for presentation to each type of 4DN grant is indicated in the 4DN Annual Meeting Draft Agenda as available on the 4DN wiki ([[https://sites.google.com/a/4dnucleome.org/4d-nucleome-wiki/meetings-and-committees/2018-annual-meeting|https://sites.google.com/a/4dnucleome.org/4d-nucleome-wiki/meetings-and-committees/2018-annual-meeting]] ). In the case of large/collaborative 4DN awards with significant presentation time, investigators may want to consider having more than one presenters, such as the Contact PI giving a brief overview of the general progress, and a co-investigator or junior investigator presenting a scientific highlight. The contact PI for each award is indicated in the list here: [[https://commonfund.nih.gov/4Dnucleome/FundedResearch|https://commonfund.nih.gov/4Dnucleome/FundedResearch]] \\
\\ \\
\\ In addition to the progress update described above, any and all 4DN investigator may submit abstracts for poster presentations. This poster will be displayed at both the closed 4DN meeting and the open 4DN-ASCB satellite meeting day, unless space limitations at the satellite meeting prevent this. You will be notified if your poster will not be displayed at the satellite meeting. If you know that you are unable to attend the satellite meeting, you may indicate that below that when submitting an abstract. \\
\\ \\
\\ Exceptional poster abstracts will be selected for short oral presentations (5 min. lightning talks). If you wish to be considered for an oral presentation, you may indicate that upon abstract submission. Authors selected for oral presentations will be notified by November 16, 2018. \\
POSTER SUBMISSION GUIDELINES (Closed)
