This page describes the ordering process for the established cell lines of the 4DN Cell Repository. The established cell lines specifically refer to the cell lines that have been approved by the Cell Line WG, 4DN steering committee, NIH, and have been ordered by OH or created by 4DN appointed groups.
Please note that there are additional cell lines that are under discussion by the Cell Line WG.

Eligibility information for PIs who are new to 4DN Cell Repository
For access to 4DN Cell Repository cells, please see 4DN Cell Repository wiki page for the available cell lines and the ordering process. Importantly, the 4DN Cell Line Working Group has established a protocol that specifies which 4DN PIs are eligible for ordering what cell lines. To become eligible, please send a letter via email to David Gilbert <gilbert@bio.fsu.edu>, co-chair of Cell Line Working group, and copy Kate Rivera-Noel <oh@4dnucleome.org>, a member of the 4DN Cell Line Working group.
Content of your request letter In your letter please provide your name, institution, the 4DN cell lines that you would like to access and briefly state your proposed use of these cells. Please also include a statement that the data generated from 4DN cell lines will be released according to the 4DN consortium data submission and release policy.
Review of your letter After receiving your request letter, the 4DN Cell Line Working group will discuss your eligibility, and once you are approved by the Cell Line working group, you will be notified and more importantly you will see your name in the “current PI list who have requested this cell line” on 4DN wiki. Consent for lines isolated prior to January 15, 2015 - DISCLAIMERPosting of public data from specimens collected before January 15, 2015 is the responsibility of and must be approved by each PIs institution. Additional questions about Consent should be addressed by individual PIs with their institutions. Additional questions about MTAs should be addressed by individual PIs with their institutions. The document below is a list of salient points from the MTAs between the OH (UCSD) and the three major providers, provided to 4DN PIs for your convenience as a courtesy and not to be considered a binding document.
